Despite the rain, over 250 guests attended Revelry on the River last night for an entertaining boat ride on the East River and a joyful dinner under Solar One’s lit-up tent.
A packed house filled the tent at Solar One last night along the East River at 23rd Street for Revelry On The River. After enjoying some cocktails and hors d’ourves, some of the adventurous guests boarded a tour boat for a trek down the Newtown Creek. At the front of the boat was Roland Lewis, the CEO of Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance, who gave an entertaining guided tour of the industrial sites along the banks of the Creek along with some of the site’s history.
After returning, the guests joined up with those that remained and enjoyed dinner with accompaniment by a jazz band.
Honored at Revelry this year was Christopher Mejia of Consolidated Solar, who heroically brought solar generators into the city after the power outages from Hurricane Sandy.
