A Cleantech revolution is blossoming in New York City, and to bring this community closer together, in 2011 Solar One began the Clean Energy Connections panel series with NYC Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy at NYU-Poly. With a local focus and an international reach, Clean Energy Connections is a forum for New York City’s cleantech community that facilitates live discussions, networking, and online media to bring together sector leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Clean Energy Connections creates a physical and digital hub for collaboration and inspiration for New York City cleantech professionals through monthly live panel discussions featuring tech mavens, financiers, startup executives, and policy makers debating and discussing emerging hot-button issues in clean technology. The conversation is interactive with questions from the live audience and via Twitter, and reaches across the U.S. and worldwide through live streaming and social media.

Each Clean Energy Connections event concludes with a networking reception for panel members and the audience. In its first year, Clean Energy Connections livestreams reached 25 states and 30 countries.

Check out this recent Clean EC Event, with Jason Scott from EKO Asset Management Partners decrying the green jobs debate as a red herring and explaining why moving to an energy-efficient economy is a given.
