Revelry On the River (formerly Revelry By The River) is Solar One’s annual Awards Dinner and a celebration of sustainability in New York City. Each year, Revelry honors individuals and companies leading the way in improving New York City’s environmental quality.

In 2013, Revelry On the River will return to the Solar 1 site in Stuyvesant Cove Park at 23rd Street and the East River on Tuesday, June 18, to celebrate our resilience and recovery in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Starting with a one-hour East River boat tour, the evening will continue with cocktails, a  a barbeque picnic supper and a brief awards ceremony under the tent at Solar 1.

Tickets start at $150, sponsorships start at $500 and are available securely online here.

Revelry By the River 2012 took place on June 11 at Guastavino’s, and honored Sir Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room and Board Member Jigar Shah with the Sustainability Achievement Award.

Revelry By the River 2011 took place June 7 at Sotheby’s, and honored Gina Argento & Broadway Stages with the Environmental Stewardship Award and Elettra Wiedemann with the Young Environmentalist Award.

Revelry By the River 2010 with the theme “Imagine,” took place June 9 in Stuyvesant Cove Park at the Solar 1 building. The event honored Arup with the Sustainability Achievement Award and Lauren Remington Platt & Ashley Wilcox Platt with the Young Environmentalist Award.

Revelry By the River 2009, with the theme “Here Comes The Sun,” took place June 2 at Stuyvesant Cove Park at the Solar 1 building. The event honored HSBC Bank USA, N.A. with the Sustainability Achievement Award, actor Matthew Modine with the Environmental Stewardship Award, and Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy with the Young Environmentalist Award.

Revelry By the River 2008, with the theme of “Celebrating Sustainability in NYC” took place June 5 at Stuyvesant Cove Park at the Solar 1 building. The event honored the Mayor’s Office of Long-Term Planning & Sustainability & PlaNYC 2030 with the Sustainability Achievement Award and IBM with the Environmental Stewardship Award.

Revelry By the River 2007, with a theme of “Celebration of Green Building in NYC” took place May 9, at Stuyvesant Cove Park at the Solar 1 building. It honored the United States Green Building Council with the Sustainability Achievement Award and Turner Construction with the Environmental Stewardship Award.
